After-hours and overflow call answering
Most callers want a person. That's who should answer when you can. This service covers the calls you can't get to: after hours, at lunch, or when every line is busy. A clearly identified AI assistant answers, helps where it can, and passes the caller to your team.
What it handles
- After-hours calls. It tells callers when you're open, answers simple questions from your FAQ, and takes a message.
- Overflow. When your staff can't pick up, it answers instead of sending the call to voicemail.
- Messages. It collects name, callback number, and reason for the call, reads them back to the caller, and sends you the message.
- Urgent calls. You decide what counts as urgent. Those calls get flagged to you right away.
- Booking requests. It can take a booking request, or book into your calendar if we connect one during setup.
- Hand-off to a person. During your hours it can transfer the call to your team. If nobody picks up, it takes a message.
How it behaves
- It says it's an AI assistant at the start of the call, and again whenever a caller asks.
- It only answers from the information you approve. If it doesn't know, it takes a message instead of guessing.
- It won't quote prices, promise callback times, or offer anything you haven't approved.
- It doesn't take card numbers or passwords over the phone.
- Calls can be recorded and transcribed, so you can see what was said. Callers are told.
How setup works
- We go through your hours, FAQs, what counts as urgent, and who gets transfers.
- We build the assistant and test it with you on real call scenarios.
- You keep your business number. Your calls forward to the assistant after hours or when your line is busy, depending on your phone setup.

What it isn't
It doesn't replace your front desk. It's the backup for the calls that would otherwise go to voicemail.
